The completion of the Ganado Sports Pavilion marked the opening of the largest sports facility on any Native American land. It is also the first building on the Navajo Nation to be built with Aerated Autoclaved Concrete. The building has over 27,000 SF of the material, which translates into 13,000 panels. It includes seating for 5500 spectators who enter onto an entry floor stained to match a Ganado Red rug. The bright red color is the signature color of the famous Ganado rug style.a.
