Sahara Awarded Beaver County Jail Addition Project

BOUNTIFUL —Sahara was awarded the design/build contract to construct the new Beaver County Jail Addition in Beaver, Utah. This same team of Sahara and GSBS Architects designed and built the first phase of the facility in 1998.

The project, which includes a 192-bed addition, support spaces and a non-denominational chapel, will break ground next month with a scheduled November 2006 completion.

Known for fast track, design/build projects with aggressive schedules, Sahara, Inc. has been an industry leader and pioneer in design/build and construction management projects throughout the western United States since 1985. Sahara has managed a wide variety of challenging and innovative development and construction projects, including the Salt Lake City Delta Center arena as well as the $110 million Jordan Commons project in Sandy, Utah.

Sahara celebrates its 20th year anniversary this year and has been awarded many honors over its history, including being included as an Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Company and being named Contractor of the Year in 2003 by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC).
